2006 National Results

Krystie’s Dance Academy’s Competition Team competed for seven days in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at its fifth National Dance Competition. The Competition was Star Systems National Talent Competition and it consisted of more than 1,685 entries and 8,500 dancers, from 52 dance studios spanning 17 states. This made Star Systems Myrtle Beach Nationals the 2nd Largest National Competition held in the United States! Krystie’s Competition Team returned to Warren, Ohio as 2006 National Dance Champions! This accomplishment marks the Team’s fifth consecutive year of being named National Dance Champions! During the 7-Day long National Competition, Krystie’s Competition Team amassed the 1st Overall Mini Champion Award, 2nd Overall Mini Champion Award, and the Junior Grand Champion 1st Runner-up Award as well as six 1st Overall Awards, 10 2nd Overall Awards, 9 Top 5 Overall Awards, and 18 Top 10 Overall Awards. This brought the Team to a total of 46 National Overall Awards. In addition, the National Championship Competition Team of Krystie’s Dance Academy qualified 7 Routines for the “Super Dance Championship” and was awarded a total of 50 Platinums. Krystie Whetstone Sutch was also awarded the distinction of National Best Choreography Award in the Lyrical and Open Divisions. The Team’s complete results are as follows: |

Ali Nance
Ali was selected in Myrtle Beach from over 8,500 Dancers to participate in the Opening Number of the Choreographer’s Carnival in Los Angeles California. There were only 22 dancers selected from the United States to be a part of this event.
The Choreographer’s Carnival is an outlet for dancers and choreographers to showcase their work to all of the major agents in Los Angeles. Ali travelled to L.A. to be a part of this wonderful opportunity. |
