Gabby Borawiec began dancing and tumbling at three-years-old and started competing that year as well. She was both a regional and a national champion soloist and group dancer, a regional and national title winner, and a continued dance scholarship recipient . She traveled throughout the U.S. training in dance for many years. Her senior year of high school brought her to KDA where she finished her final year of competition dance and training and found a renewed love of and passion for dance and tumbling! While Gabby was in high school she participated in soccer, track, and cheerleading and was awarded 11 varsity letters. She was a cheerleader for six years during junior high and high school and a majorette for three years. During this time, in addition to her dance and training, Gabby also trained with CheerTime Athletics and Keith Johnston of NEO. Gabby graduated with honors from LaBrae High School in 2012. Gabby was awarded a variety of academic and athletic scholarships to attend Youngstown State University. She pursued her undergraduate degree at YSU where she began a four-year collegiate cheerleading career. Gabby had the opportunity to perform at football games, basketball games, and make appearances at various community and volunteer events for the Penguins. For the past two years, Gabby has had the pleasure of being the cheerleading coach for the Lakeview Junior High School. While in college, Gabby was honored to be on the Dean’s List, and upon graduation from YSU in May of 2017, Gabby earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Her upcoming plans include pursuing her Master’s Degree in School Psychology. Beginning this fall Gabby will begin her teaching position at Valley Christian School in Mahoning County as a first grade teacher. Gabby is very excited to start this new adventure as a school teacher.
